For my senior project, I addressed the problem of children ages 4-9 not understanding struggles in friendships. Through over 20 conducted interviews I came up with a solution. My solution was a children’s book company that addresses different problems in friendships. This company is called Rockel & Friends. For this project I wrote and fully illustrated a complete book called Aren’t We Friends? For this company I also created all branding elements as well as advertisements.

For the advertisements I created a publishers box, a portable sign, and a book display. The publishers box is a custom box that would include a paperback copy of the book as well as promotional items. The concept is that this box would be sent to publishers to get them interested in publishing the book. The idea behind the portable sign is that this sign is to be used at tradeshows, book signings, or other events to welcome and direct guests. The sign is to be used over and over as the clear pocket allows to put in different information about that particular event. Finally the cardboard display is what copies of books would be housed in at tradeshows, book fairs, or other events.
